Facial massage

Facial massage tones muscles, smooths fine lines, stimulates blood supply and lymphatic drainage, effecting the removal of toxins, improves skin tone and elasticity and eases tension. People receiving regular facials experience glowing benefits largely from the touch and massage techniques applied.

Bringing self-facial massage into your routine will improve skin elasticity and radiance; it is recommended to take 10 minutes daily, added to your skin care regime or an extended version once a week.

To begin - cleanse your skin with be peace and a warm face washer. Use both hands, wiping the skin upwards and outwards to give the face a lift.

Pat skin dry and apply a small amount of be oil to fingertips, lightly brush this oil over décolletage, neck and face in brisk, gentle upward strokes, to give even coverage.

Then again starting from the décolletage use a firm wiping action to provide moisture, then work your way to the base of the neck.

Alternating hands in upward strokes, wipe fingers briskly to jaw line, dropping your head back to tone the skin and open the throat area, continue action for a minute.

Bring thumb and for fingers in a pinching action to the chin and squeeze outward on jaw line to the ears, repeat 10 times, then pinch and press along jaw line continuing pinch to outer earlobes. This action stimulates lymphatic drainage and is cleansing and toning.

Now use fingers again to “wipe” and “fan” in upwards strokes from jaw line onto cheeks, lifting and toning facial muscles.

Bring all your finger tips to centre of fore head and massage in circular motions slowly, outward to temples, be sure to touch all the skin of fore head.

Then with first 2 fingers trace circles around your eyes, over the brow and down under eyes, repeat 10 times and close the eyes, consciously relaxing the delicate eye muscles.

With ring finger tips of both hands, begin massaging in small circles, taking time to trace the ‘sinus’ lines from nose to outer face. Do a few lines from top of nose out a few lines from nostril area out. Experiment with pressure and don’t be afraid to be firm. This action can be particularly useful for sinus sufferers and puffy skin. It is a useful lymphatic drainer and will increase your glow.

Use full fingers again to wipe over cheeks, forehead, chin and back to neck. Repeat initial wiping movements of upward and outward from neck to forehead in a gentle loving manner to finish off your treatment. With regular use of these techniques you will become more accustomed to what works and can develop your own style, extending and lengthen movements or repetitions for a though massage.

If it is evening and you have dry/normal skin you can leave be oil on, alternatively repeat cleanse.

We recommend be peace for the face as the oils contained are particularly suited to facial oil application. Our next recommendation for face is be love and be joy.
